Bilingual Risaralda. In 2013 Nukanti Colombia won a contract from the local government of the Risaralda department to carry out a two-year English-teaching program in 12 municipalities in the region, from December 2013 until November 2015. Under the program Nukanti recruits and places a total of 24 volunteers to teach English in schools in the municipalities of Apia, Balboa, Belén de Umbría, Guática, La Celia, La Virginia, Marsella, Mistrató, Pueblo Rico, Qunchía, Santa Rosa and Santuario. During the two years of the program we hosted more than 100 volunteers from the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Read more here.

Youth and Human Rights. In June 2015 Nukanti held its first youth exchange program in Valencia, Spain. The project “Youth and Human Rights” was funded through the Erasmus+ Programmeof the European Commission. The project is organized and hosted by Fundación por los Derechos Humanos 10.12.48 (Spain), in cooperation with Nukanti (UK) and Tiwtmin Tiwtmin Association (Morocco). Groups of 10 young people from the UK, Spain and Morocco gathered together to discuss topics related to Human Rights and European Citizenship through various workshops, documentary projections and discussions. Operation Change. The Starkey Hearing Foundation featured Nukanti (@Nukanti) in its Operation Change documentaries. The film documented Nukanti's ongoing work in helping transform the lives of Colombian youth, with the help of US President Bill Clinton (@billclinton) and actress/activist Marlee Matlin (@MarleeMatlin).
